Didn't go well.  The house has water damage, structural damage, possible termites, and electrical problems.  Thats all we really know right now.  Will post more later.

It is good to know that stuff before you move in. You can also request that the seller fixs it before closing. That's what we had to do. It will save you money in the long run.

We will be asking, but I don't think he'll want to fix 30 grand worth of stuff. That is just a potential number, but the issues are large.  He doesn't appear to be motivated to sell.

We asked for several things and they refused to put a radon mitigation system in even though the levels were extremely high. We did it as soon as we moved in it was $1000. Last weekend I bought grass seed, fertilizer and soil because our yard is pretty mu

I am going to second everything that Mark just said. The things that bother him also turned us away from a few houses. You also will probably change very little after you move in. So be prepared for that.

However, I will add this. Have you heard

I typed out a list when I moved in of all the things the inspector said needed addressing.  Half of them still aren't done.
